An Arizona trooper was dispatched to the scene of a rollover accident where the driver had been ejected from her car. As he got out to help her, he was suddenly blindsided by a thug who saw him as a target and shot him to the ground. Seconds after the assailant got a round off at the cop, he got what he had coming to him in the most perfect way imaginable.
The driver’s car had crashed just outside of Tonopah in Maricopa County, and the officer was the first responder to the scene, arriving at about the same time as an unnamed thug who decided to kill a cop on his way to where he was going. The cop was hit in the shoulder and knocked to the ground, which the thug had thought earned him some ‘hood points, but he didn’t realize who was coming up the street.
According to CBS5AZ, as soon as the officer went down, another passerby came upon the scene, having witness what just happened. The good Samaritan pulled out his own gun and shot back at the feral thug, killing him on the spot. With the threat out of the way and being the hand to ensure this gangster’s demise, the hero grabbed the officer’s radio and called for backup, letting the dispatcher know that an officer was down and so was the suspect.
“To the civilian on the DPS trooper’s radio, if you can hear me, I need you to let me know where the suspect is that got in an altercation with our trooper,” the operator responded.
“The suspect is uh, occasionally breathing or stirring. He’s been shot by a passerby,” another man, who had stopped to help the good Samaritan, said into the wounded trooper’s radio. “He’s laying right next to the officer.”
While the trooper suffered a shoulder wound, he’s expected to fully recover, but the same can’t be said for the thug who shot him. The responsibly armed civilian had better aim than the suspect and did exactly what he was trained to do when getting his concealed carry license. This incident proves that thugs might think they are tough, but gun owners are the real badasses who protect other people and even officers with their weapon.
